Average rates of change is the change in the quantity of the dependent variable divided by the corresponding independent variable over an intervals.

Graphically, the average rate of change over an interval is equivalent to the
slope of the secant line passing through two points.

Average rate of change= ChangeinDistancingUnit/ChangeinTime

AVG= Y axis values (dependent valuess) DIVIDED BY X axis values (independent values)
